When celebrated composer Christopher Caliendo heard the rich tone and flexibility of the  Miyazawa flute, he committed to composing three new flute sonatas for Miyazawa's greatest American artists. The result: Miyazawa Plays Caliendo - Sonata's 1, 2 and 3.

Now, American composer Christopher Caliendo offers an outreach program for Japanese Universities, presenting an opportunity for students to learn the sonatas and perform them in recital.

The Program

• Three (3) master classes devoted to (3) select flute students in preparing each of Christopher's sonatas
• Miyazawa workshop - the manufacturing process, showcase of new models and a peek at the future -  "Play a Miyazawa and feel the freedom to communicate your natural musical voice."
• The Recital - performance of all three sonatas with faculty pianist.
